Today, after a long time of 27 years, India has hosted the Miss World pageant. The winner of Miss World 2024 was announced at this event. India was represented in this competition by Sini Shetty. This year, this crown has been achieved by Christina of Czech Republic. Former Miss World Megan Young followed a years-old tradition by crowning the new Miss World.
Sini Shetty was out before top 4
The top 4 finalists in this competition included Lebanon, Trinidad and Tobago, Botswana and Czech Republic. Before this, Indian contestant Sini Shetty kept passing every round easily till the top 8. But the contestants from the host country were eliminated in the race for top 4.
Karan Johar hosted
The 71st Miss World pageant was hosted by former Miss World Megan Young and Karan Johar. Popular artists like Shaan, Neha Kakkar and Tony Kakkar performed in this program making it memorable.
These celebrities became judges
The jury of the competition includes notable personalities like Rajat Sharma, President and Editor-in-Chief of India TV, actresses Pooja Hegde, Kriti Sanon and Harbhajan Singh.
Nita Ambani gave best wishes
Julia Evelyn Morley CBE, CEO of Miss World Organization presented the ‘Humanitarian Award’ to Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation Nita Mukesh Ambani. On this occasion, Nita Ambani wished all the contestants. Also welcomed the beauties from every country in the country.
