Famous classical singer Prabha Atre is no more
A sad news related to the music industry has come to light. It is reported that famous classical singer Dr. Prabha Atre died of a heart attack at her residence in Pune on Saturday morning at the age of 92. After suffering a heart attack, he was taken to Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune, but he died before reaching the hospital. The veteran singer was associated with the Kirana Gharana of Hindustani classical music. He was also honored with all three prestigious Padma Awards by the Government of India for his contribution in the field of music.

Prabha Atre was awarded Padma Shri in 1990, Padma Bhushan in 2002 and Padma Vibhushan in 2022. Atre worked as a stage singing actress early in her career. She also played roles in Marathi theater classics, including musical plays like ‘Sanshay-Kallol’, ‘Manapman’, ‘Saubhadra’ and ‘Vidyaharan’.
