The 69th Filmfare Awards has started in Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat. Host Karan Johar made a grand entry with his co-host Maniesh Paul. Many celebrities like Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan will also perform at this grand Bollywood event. Trupti Dimri will also be seen making her Filmfare dance debut today. The nomination list for the Filmfare Awards has been announced recently. Stars like Shahrukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Vikrant Massey, Vicky Kaushal, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt and many more were nominated. The names of many other films like ’12th Fail’, ‘Animal’, ‘Pathan’, ‘Jawaan’, ‘Sam Bahadur’ are nominated in different categories.

Bhupinder Babbal was given the Filmfare Award for Best Playback Singer for ‘Arjan Valley’ from ‘Enim’ at the 69th Filmfare Awards in association with Gujarat Tourism.

Amitabh Bhattacharya won the Filmfare Award for Best Lyrics. He received the award for the song ‘Tere Vaaste Falak Se Main Chand Launga’ from ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’.
D Burman Award
Shreyas Puranik has won the R.D. Burman Award for Upcoming Music Talent. Shreyas Puranik has won the RD Burman Award for Upcoming Music Talent for ‘Satranga’ from ‘Animal’.

Ishita Moitra won the Filmfare Award for Best Dialogue. He received this award for ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’.
