These stars helped the flood victims

Heavy rains in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (AP and TS) have caused a lot of damage to the people, causing devastation. In such a situation, many South actors and celebrities have come forward to help the flood victims. In the last few days, many actors have donated money to the Chief Minister’s Fund of AP and TS, some of whom have also donated to NGOs to help the affected people. Seeing the devastating flood situation, many stars have also given information on social media after donating a large amount to the CM Relief Fund.

Pawan Kalyan – ₹6 crore

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan donated ₹6 crore to deal with the devastation. He donated ₹1 crore to the Telugu states CM relief fund and ₹1 lakh to each of the 400 panchayats in Andhra Pradesh (total ₹4 crore). Being the Panchayat Raj Minister, he has donated for relief in each panchayat.

Prabhas – ₹2 Crore
Prabhas has donated ₹1 crore each (total ₹2 crore) to the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to help flood victims. He announced the news on X (formerly Twitter) that the ‘Raja Saheb’ actor is with the people suffering due to heavy rains and floods.

Chiranjeevi – ₹1 Crore
After donating ₹1 crore to help the landslide victims in Wayanad, Kerala along with his son Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi donated ₹50 lakh each (total ₹1 crore) to the CM relief funds of both the Telugu states. Sharing the news, he wrote, ‘I am deeply saddened by the hardships being faced by people due to floods in Telugu states. The tragic death of people is heartbreaking.’

Ram Charan – ₹1 Crore
Ram Charan expressed his heartfelt condolences to the affected people and said, ‘This is the time to help the people of Telugu states who are suffering due to rain and floods.’ Like his father, he also donated ₹50 lakh each (total ₹1 crore) to the CM relief funds of both the Telugu states. He said, ‘I pray to God that the people of Telugu states come out of this situation soon.’

Allu Arjun – ₹1 crore
‘I am saddened by the loss and suffering caused by the devastating rains in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana,’ Allu Arjun has donated ₹50 lakh each (total ₹1 crore) to the CM relief funds of both Telugu states. He added, ‘Praying for everyone’s safety.’

Jr NTR – ₹1 Crore
Jr NTR has also donated ₹50 lakh each (total ₹1 crore) to CM relief funds of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He also wrote an emotional note on X in Telugu, ‘I am deeply saddened by the recent floods caused by heavy rains in two Telugu states. I pray to God that Telugu people recover from this disaster soon.’

Mahesh Babu – ₹1 crore
Mahesh Babu has also asked others to help by donating ₹50 lakh each (total ₹1 crore) to the CM Relief Funds of Telugu states. He wrote, ‘Let us collectively support the measures being taken by the respective governments to provide immediate assistance and facilitate the recovery process for the flood-affected areas.’

Nagarjuna – ₹1 crore
The Akkineni family, which includes Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni, donated ₹50 lakh each (total ₹1 crore) to the Telugu states. Nagarjuna said, ‘It is important that we come together to support the government’s efforts to take swift relief measures and aid recovery. Let us face this challenge with vigour and emerge stronger.’

Balakrishna – ₹1 crore
Actor-politician Balakrishna donated ₹50 lakh (total ₹1 crore) to both the states, calling the scenes ‘heartbreaking’. He shared a note in which the actor said, ‘There has been a terrible flood in our Telugu states and the scenes are heartbreaking.’ He also recently completed 50 years in the film industry.

Sai Dharam Tej – ₹25 lakh
Sai Dharam Tej who recently changed his name to Sai Durga Tej in honour of his mother, donated ₹25 lakh for relief efforts. He donated ₹10 lakh each to the CM Relief Fund (total ₹20 lakh), besides giving ₹5 lakh to Amma Ashramam in Vijayawada and other NGOs run by fans.

Siddu Jonnalagadda – ₹30 lakh
Siddu Jonnalagadda donated ₹15 lakh each (total ₹30 lakh) to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana CM Relief Fund. “This shouldn’t have happened. It’s not fair. No one deserves this plight,” he said. “No amount of money can undo the damage, but I pray that it will in some way help rebuild lives and restore trust,” he added.

Varun Tej – ₹15 lakh
Varun Tej Konidela donated ₹15 lakh to help people affected by floods in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He has donated ₹5 lakh each (total ₹10 lakh) to the CM Relief Fund of both the states and ₹5 lakh to the Pawan-led Panchayat Raj Department. He said, ‘I hope we all support each other during this time.’

Apart from the makers of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, other actors like Vishwak Sen and Sonu Sood and directors like Trivikram Srinivas and Venky Atluri have also donated to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to aid the relief efforts.
