Shennis Palacios is from Nicaragua and had earlier won the title of Miss Nicaragua. Shennis Palacios is the first Nicaraguan woman to win Miss Universe. In this beauty pageant, Australia’s Moraya Wilson was the second runner-up, while Thailand’s Antonia Porsild was crowned the first runner-up.

This year, Chandigarh-born Shweta Sharda represented India at Miss Universe 2023. She made it to the top 20 finalists, but could not make it to the top 10. This year Pakistan also debuted in Miss Universe for the first time.
