A lawyer has filed a complaint at Mumbai’s Ghatkopar police station against Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor and his family, accusing them of hurting the religious sentiments of Sanatan Dharma. In this complaint, a demand has been made to register an FIR against the Kapoor family under sections 295, 509 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code for the alleged insult. This complaint has been lodged by Sanjay Dinanath Tiwari through Bombay High Court lawyers Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra.
Accused of deliberately taking the names of Hindu Gods and Goddesses
It has been said in the complaint that a video is viral on social media in which it is seen that the names of Hindu Gods and Goddesses have been deliberately taken after sprinkling intoxicants on the cake and offering it to fire. It has been told in the complaint that Ranbir Kapoor celebrated Christmas with his entire family. During this time all the elders of his family as well as children were present. This video is rapidly going viral on social media.

In this video, wine and liquor are poured over a cake and then Ranbir Kapoor sets it on fire after saying ‘Jai Mata Di’. As soon as Ranbir Kapoor says ‘Jai Mata Di’, the rest of the family members also say Jai Mata Di. It has been told in the complaint that all of them deliberately took the names of Hindu Gods and Goddesses along with lighting the fire after using drugs prohibited in Hindu religion.

The complaint further said that in Hindu religion, the fire god is definitely invoked before invoking any of the gods and goddesses. Ranbir Kapoor and his other family members apparently had information about this. Despite this, Ranbir Kapoor has deliberately used intoxicants, lit a fire and invoked Gods and Goddesses and raised slogans of ‘Jai Mata Di’ during the festival of a particular religion.
