Lower blood sugar level by blowing
In diabetes, blood test is done to find out the blood sugar level. Through this the glucose level in the blood is checked. For this, blood is drawn by pricking the finger with a needle. Now IIT Mandi has made a new device. Due to which finger blood sample will not be required for diabetes test. The sugar level will be known just by filling the balloon with air. This device can detect blood pressure, heart beat and oxygen in the blood.
How the device works
Actually, IIT Mandi has prepared a device called AI Non-Invasive Glucometer. It gives better results in blood sugar testing. After the patient fills the balloon with air, the breath is applied to the device for testing. With this the blood sugar level will be easily known. 8 sensors have been installed in this device, which detects the sugar level by detecting volatile organic compounds found in the breath.
How was the device tested?
This device was tested on 550 patients of Bilaspur AIIMS. With this device, breath samples and data of the patients were collected and then blood sugar test was done. The result of which has been much better. Researchers said that this device has given correct results up to 98 percent. The head of this project, Dr. Varun Dutt, has described it as very effective and has said that it will bring a revolution in the health sector in the future.
