What is Bubonic Plague

This disease is a type of bacterial infection which spreads to humans mostly through infected ticks that live on rats. According to WHO, bubonic plague is caused by Yersinia pestis bacteria. This infection spreads to humans due to fleas i.e. ticks. Apart from rats, this infection also spreads to humans through bacteria in the fur of squirrels and pets. 

What are the symptoms of bubonic plague?

Methods to prevent bubonic plague

If you want to avoid this disease, then avoid coming in contact with household pets and their fur. Avoid.

If there are rats or squirrels around the house, do not leave them outside to eat food. If your pet has a cough, show them to a doctor immediately. 

Do not let pets roaming outside sleep on your bed.
