What is hamstring?

The hamstring is a muscle made up of many muscles. It extends to the back of the thigh, hip and knees of the leg. These muscles have complete control over in which direction your leg will move. This muscle connects the large muscles of the thigh to the bone. These muscles become active during running and walking. What is hamstring injury?

It controls your steps through muscles. Which clearly means that the entire balance of how you walk or run is done by the hamstring muscles around the thigh. There are three hamstring muscles at the back of the thigh. When you walk stairs or do squats, these muscles get stressed the most. These muscles are the biceps femoris, semimembranosus and semitendinosus muscles.

This is how hamstring problems are diagnosed

Pain in the hamstring muscles and tenderness in the back of the thigh can be its initial symptoms. Its initial symptom is pain in moving the legs. Having a lot of pain. Due to which swelling and redness of the skin occurs. There may be difficulty in walking with the help of legs. If it increases too much then there can be a lot of difficulty in sitting, walking or standing. Sometimes this problem increases so much that you are not able to even stand properly.
