After this, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav responded to Mayawati’s revelation in the media. Regarding BSP chief Mayawati not answering the phone, SP President Akhilesh Yadav said that we had called. Sometimes people say such things to hide their things. Now Mayawati and Satish Chandra have double-attacked Akhilesh Yadav. Mayawati posted on X on Friday that BSP does not form an alliance for ideological reasons and if it ever forms an alliance for big objectives, then it definitely remains honest towards it. A lot of effort was made to maintain the alliance with SP in 1993 and 2019, but the interest and self-respect of the ‘Bahujan Samaj’ is paramount.
Mayawati said that BSP is against narrow caste politics. Hence, instead of making alliances in a hurry for electoral gains, there is a movement to create political power by creating mutual brotherhood in the ‘Bahujan Samaj’ so that Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s mission can become self-reliant by getting the master key of power.
Satish Chandra has also targeted Akhilesh Yadav by posting on X. He said that I want to inform everyone that the reason behind the breakup of the alliance between Bahujan Samaj Party and Samajwadi Party in the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections is the SP chief himself, which Mayawati has written in a book released by her party.
He said that before Behenji called, I called but the SP chief did not pick up the phone. Then the party office called and even then the SP chief was not allowed to talk on the phone. Even then, being elder, Behenji tried to encourage the SP chief by calling him but he did not pick up the phone. And the result of all this was that BSP had to break the alliance.
This behaviour of the SP chief was hurtful towards the self-respect of the Dalits, the deprived and the exploited. BSP is not just for vote transfer. Rather it is the only party in the country which thinks and works in the interest of the entire society. Those who are commenting on respected Behenji in this regard should first remember their own behaviour.
