New Delhi: Changes in the weather are being seen in many states of the country including North India. While there is severe cold and fog in North India, it is raining in some places of South India. On the other hand, snowfall is occurring in the hilly states. Fog has affected life in the northeastern states. According to the Meteorological Department, during the last 24 hours, temperatures of 5-10 Celsius were recorded in many parts of Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, North Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Fog is also being seen in the morning at these places.
Relief will not be available till 20th December
IMD said that the weather at these places will remain like this till December 20. The temperature in Western UP, Haryana-Punjab and Chandigarh may remain 2-3 degrees below normal. There will be fog in the morning and evening. The weather will be clear during the day.
Rain alert in these states
According to the Meteorological Department, during the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain may occur in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, areas of South Karnataka, Lakshadweep and Andaman Nicobar Islands.

The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad on 16 and 17 December. It is extremely cold due to snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from this, the weather will be normal in other parts of the country. There is no possibility of rain.
Minimum temperature in Delhi is lowest this season
Cold has increased in the entire NCR including Delhi and Noida. The minimum temperature recorded in the national capital on Thursday was 6.2 degrees Celsius, which is the lowest temperature of this season so far. The Meteorological Department said that light fog is expected in Delhi in the next five days. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 24 degrees Celsius.

No relief from air pollution
Even today people have not got relief from air pollution in Delhi-NCR. According to Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, the 24-hour average air quality index (AQI) in Delhi was recorded in the very poor category on Friday.
