Kumari Selja said that the high command will decide who will be the Chief Minister. She denied any kind of factionalism in the party. She said that it is natural to have a tussle for the ticket, it is not easy to select a candidate where 2500 applications have been received. But only one person will get the ticket, others should work for the party as true soldiers of the party. She claimed that Congress is in a very strong position in the state. Let us tell you that there has been tension between Kumari Selja-Randeep Surjewala faction and the faction of Leader of Opposition Bhupendra Singh Hooda on the issue of ticket distribution and alliance with Aam Aadmi Party.
Hooda had his way in ticket distribution and the Hooda faction was not in favour of an alliance with AAP, while Kumari Selja and Surjewala wanted an alliance with AAP. In the end, the Hooda faction had its way and an alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party could not be formed. Sources say that current MPs Kumari Selja, Deepender Singh Hooda, Varun Chaudhary, Jai Prakash, Satpal Bhattacharya and Randeep Surjewala will be kept away from the assembly elections. However, there is a good news for Surjewala. There is a buzz that his son Aditya may get a ticket from Kaithal seat. He has been active for the past one year. Bhupinder Singh Hooda is also said to be agreeable to this. Sources say that the high command wants that it will itself decide on the CM post later.
