The 42nd ACM Court in Bengaluru has summoned Tamil Nadu government minister Udhayanidhi Stalin to appear on March 4 over his remarks in which he allegedly compared Sanatan Dharma to dengue and malaria. Along with this, summons have also been issued by the court to the people organizing related programs.

The DMK leader had said in his statement that the name Sanatan is derived from Sanskrit, which is against social justice and equality. He had said, ‘We cannot oppose Corona, dengue and mosquitoes. We will have to eliminate them and similarly Sanatan will also have to be eliminated. Udhayanidhi’s statements had created an uproar in the entire country. Cases were registered against him in many states.

Udhayanidhi Stalin had recently said that there was nothing wrong in his comments on Sanatan Dharma in September. “There was nothing wrong in what I said. We will face the case legally. I will not change my stand. I have only spoken about my ideology,” he told reporters.
