Cyber attack on Israel? Mobiles started ringing suddenly at midnight, Iran connection is being investigated

Lebanon’s terrorist organization Hezbollah is suffering from pager and walkie-talkie attacks. It has alleged that Israeli intelligence agency Mossad planned this entire incident. At least 20 people are reported dead and thousands injured in both the attacks. Meanwhile, there is news of a cyber attack on Israel. Local media reports that Israeli phones suddenly started ringing at midnight. Emergency messages started appearing on them. In the message, Israelis were asked to flee to a safe place. After receiving thousands of such messages, a situation of panic arose. Israeli officials are investigating such messages. It is being told that these may be sponsored by Iranian hackers.

Israeli media reported that Israelis across the country received fake “emergency alerts” late Wednesday night telling them to leave where they are and move to a safe area. After the message was widely circulated, KAN News reported that the possibility that Iran was behind the hoax was being investigated.

Israeli army statement

At the same time, the Israeli army IDF called such messages fake and said that they did not send any such message to the Israelis. This could be a cyber attack. The IDF statement said, “The message declaring emergency was not sent by us. There has been no change in the defense policy of the Home Front Command.”

what was the message

Many Israelis received emergency messages at midnight on Wednesday. Screenshots of these messages were also shared by people on social media. The headline of the message read – “OREFAlert. In Hebrew, this is similar to the name of the Home Front Command – Pikud Ha’oref. The text message received by the Israelis contained a link and above it was written in a misspelled form, “You must go to the safe area.”

It is worth noting that the news of cyber attack on Israel has come after more than 20 people lost their lives in pager and walkie-talkie explosions in Lebanon for two consecutive days. According to Hezbollah officials, pagers kept in people’s pockets suddenly started exploding in many areas of Beirut and southern Lebanon. Lebanon had not even recovered from this attack on Tuesday, when many people lost their lives in a walkie-talkie explosion on the next day, Wednesday. Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad is said to be behind both these attacks. The pagers and walkie-talkies were filled with explosives.
