YouTuber Elvish Yadav, winner of reality show ‘Bigg Boss OTT’, has been threatened with death during a cricket match. Elvish Yadav had a match with comedian Munawar Farooqui at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday. In this match of ECL 2024 between Munawar and Elvish, both the celebrities were captaining their respective teams. Elvish Yadav captained the Haryanvi Hunters while Munawar Farooqui became the captain of Mumbai Disruptors.
Elvish Yadav received death threats
Shefali Bagga was the presenter and in her presence, both the captains had a little banter on the field after which the match started. However, panic spread on the ground and among the officials after Elvish Yadav received death threats for playing against Munawar Farooqui. The packed stadium was evacuated as the safety of the celebrities was of utmost importance.
The match was held in the presence of management only
Videos and photos from this match are viral on social media. The entry doors of the stadium were locked for security reasons. Videos can be seen on social media in which Munawar Faruqui’s fans can be seen in huge numbers supporting their favorite comedian on the ground. After the stadium was evacuated, the game was started in the presence of only the management and some other officials. However, an official statement on this matter is yet to be issued by Elvish and the organizers.
Where did this whole uproar begin?
It is known that during the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) this year, Munavvar Farooqui and Elvish Yadav were seen sharing a very good bonding together. Both were seen hugging each other and taking pictures with each other during the match. However, the fans did not like this. While trolls tagged Elvish Yadav as a traitor, many people called him anti-Hindu. Because people did not like Elvish Yadav being so frank with Munavvar.
