Elon Musk’s SpaceX company is going to make another history. On August 27, SpaceX is sending four astronauts on a space trip at their own expense. Till now only the government agencies of Russia or America used to send people to space. This is the first time when four astronauts will travel in space at their own expense. This mission has been named SpaceX Polaris Dawn Mission. According to the information, under this mission, people will be sent so far into space where no one has reached in the last 50 years.
The commander of this mission is Jared Isaacman. He will be the first person to enjoy a spacewalk at personal expense. Jared Isaacman has also gone on a three-day space walk in 2021. At that time he spent $200 million. This time he has not disclosed the cost of the five-day trip. However, it is certain that this expense will be more than before. This time Potit Kid, engineer Anna Menon and Sarah Gillis are going with Jared Isaacman.
The Polaris Dawn mission is to be launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. It will be launched using the Falcon 9 rocket. The Dragon spacecraft will be used for this. This aircraft has also visited the International Space Station and has successfully returned astronauts. After separating from the spacecraft, Falcon 9 will land on the Shortfall of Gravitas droneship in the Atlantic Ocean.
Let us tell you that billionaire businessman Jared Isaacman is an entrepreneur and social worker. He has been a lieutenant in the Air Force. It is believed that this mission is quite risky. This is a first of its kind experiment. Out of the four crew members involved in this mission, only two will come out of the Dragon capsule and do a spacewalk. The new spacesuit is also to be tested in this mission. Apart from Jared Isaacman, Sarah Gillis will do a spacewalk.
Isaacman has funded this mission and was also the leader of the civil Inspiration mission orbiting Earth in 2021. He is carrying out this mission in collaboration with SpaceX. This mission is also different because the entire capsule will be depressurized in space and all four astronauts will rely on spacesuits. In this way the suit will be tested.
