Haryana Election Date: Assembly elections will be held in Haryana in a single phase, know the date of voting and results

Haryana Election Date 202: The Election Commission has announced the dates for the Haryana Assembly elections on Friday. Voting will be held in a single phase on all 90 seats of Haryana. Voting will take place in the state on October 1, while the results will be announced on October 4.

In Haryana, notifications will be issued on September 5, while the last date for nomination is September 12. Scrutiny of nominations will be done till September 13. Candidates will be able to withdraw their names till September 16.

Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that there are 2.01 crore voters in Haryana’s total 90 assembly constituencies, out of which 95 lakh are women. 150 model booths will be built in Haryana. Voting booths will also be built in multi-storey buildings in the state.

In the state elections, BJP will face Congress, JJP and Aam Aadmi Party. At the national level, Congress and Aam Aadmi Party are part of India Alliance, but in the assembly elections, the paths of both the parties are different. After winning the maximum number of seats in the last assembly elections, BJP made Manohar Lal Khattar the Chief Minister for the second consecutive time. However, before the Lok Sabha elections, Khattar was replaced by Nayab Singh Saini. Manohar Lal Khattar is currently a Lok Sabha MP from Karnal seat of Haryana.

The term of the assembly in Haryana is ending on November 3. There are a total of 90 assembly seats in the state. In the last assembly elections held in the year 2019, no party got a majority on its own. BJP got the maximum 40 seats while Congress got 31 seats. Apart from this, Dushyant Chautala’s JJP got 10 seats. BJP and JJP formed the government in the state. However, the alliance of JJP and BJP broke before the Lok Sabha elections.
