Hemant Soren’s wife Kalpana’s name was raised by his sister-in-law and JMM MLA Sita Soren. Sita Soren, widow of former chief minister Shibu Soren’s elder son Durga, said, “I would like to ask why only Kalpana Soren, who is not even an MLA and has no political experience. Under what circumstances is her name being mentioned as the next chief minister? But it is being tossed aside even though there are so many senior leaders in the party.”
Kalpana Soren is not an MLA
If sources are to be believed, Hemant Soren’s sister-in-law Sita Soren and his younger brother Basant Soren did not agree on the name of Kalpana Soren. At the same time, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey also claimed that Sita Soren and Basant Soren are not agreeable to Kalpana Soren for the post of CM. On the other hand, legal obstacles were also being cited in making Kalpana Soren the CM. Kalpana Soren is not an MLA at present, but has left an MLA seat. Since then, speculations started rife that Kalpana could become the next CM.
Who is Champai Soren?
Champai Soren is the MLA from Seraikela seat. At present he is the Minister of Transport, Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare. He is also the Vice President of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. Champai Soren is considered very close to CM Hemant Soren. Champai Soren is also known as Jharkhand Tiger. He has also been a minister in the Arjun Munda government.
