BJP leaders met the Governor today

The number of Corona patients is increasing in the country

Let us inform that till Monday, a total of 819 cases of the new variant JN.1 of Covid-19 have been reported from 12 states of the country. Official sources said that 250 from Maharashtra, 199 from Karnataka, 148 from Kerala, 49 from Goa, 36 from Gujarat, 30-30 from Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan, 26-26 from Tamil Nadu and Telangana, 21 from Delhi, three from Odisha and One case has come to light from Haryana. Officials said that even though the number of JN.1 cases is increasing, there is no reason to worry immediately. He said that most of the infected are getting treatment at home, which is a sign of mild illness.

Central government issued warning to states

Amidst the increase in Covid cases in the country and emergence of JN.1 cases, the Central Government has asked the States and Union Territories to maintain constant surveillance. States have been urged to ensure effective compliance with the detailed guidelines of the revised surveillance strategy for COVID-19 shared by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The World Health Organization (WHO) has classified JN.1 as a separate “variant of interest” (VOI) variant due to its rapid spread and says it poses a low risk to global public health. .
