Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has also expressed his displeasure

Spiritual guru and Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar also gave a statement on the Tirupati Laddu controversy. He said that we have read in history books how the Sepoy Mutiny took place in 1857. And now we see how deeply the sentiments of Hindus are hurt by this Laddu. This is something that cannot be forgiven. He said that this is malicious and it is the height of greed of those who are involved in this process, so they should be severely punished. All their property should be confiscated and they should be put in jail. Whoever is even remotely involved in this process. We need to check not just Laddu but every food product.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar further said, what about the ghee available in the market? Is anybody checking what they are putting in it? All those who adulterate food and label it as vegetarian and put any kind of non-vegetarian ingredients in it should be punished very severely. For temple management we need to see that it is under the supervision of saints, swamis and spiritual gurus. We need to make a committee of spiritual gurus, both North and South should oversee them. There should be a person from the government also, but he has to play a small role. But the major decisions, supervision and everything should be done by religious boards like SGPC, like Muslim body, like Christian body.
