Saurabh Ganguly filed a police complaint, case of cyber threat and defamation – Hindustan News Hub

Former Indian cricket team captain and former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has filed a complaint of cyber threat and defamation with the Kolkata Police. According to a senior official, based on Sourav Ganguly’s complaint, Kolkata Police has started investigating the matter on Wednesday. Let’s know about this whole matter.

What is the whole matter?

In the complaint given by Sourav Ganguly’s secretary, it is written- “I am writing to bring to your notice a case of cyber threat and defamation related to a person named Mrinmay Das. This person has posted a video on the social media platform, using abusive language targeting Sourav Ganguly. Making derogatory comments which are harmful to his reputation.”

Complaint by sending email

The police officer has said that Sourav Ganguly’s secretary has lodged a complaint by sending an email to the cyber department of Kolkata Police on Tuesday night. According to the police, Ganguly’s secretary has also shared a video link with the email. The police officer has said that we have received the email and we are looking into the whole matter.

Ganguly had condemned the Kolkata rape-murder case

Just a few days ago, Sourav Ganguly condemned the rape and murder of a female doctor in a Kolkata hospital on Sunday. He said that being a father of a daughter, he was deeply saddened by this incident. However, he also said that West Bengal and India are considered safe and no judgment should be made on the entire system based on a single incident. (input language)
