On the Tirupati temple’s Prasadam controversy, senior Congress leader Rashid Alvi has said that Tirupati is a place of faith and if such things are happening then it is nothing but playing with faith. Rashid Alvi further said that BJP has no right to stay in power. He said that such a thing cannot happen in a Congress government.

On the entire controversy, Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that today the Andhra Pradesh government and BJP are together. BJP has no interest in beef or religion. He alleged that BJP plays with the sentiments of the people. Rashid said that if beef grease is used to make laddus at such a holy place, I would say that PM Modi and CM should resign. This is a question of faith of crores of people. PM and CM have no right to remain in power.

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said on the entire controversy that we are all upset with the matter of mixing animal fat (fish oil, pork fat and beef fat) in Tirupati Balaji’s Prasad. Pawan Kalyan further said that now the time has come to form a ‘Sanatan Dharma Rakshan Board’ at the national level to look into all the issues related to temples across India.
