Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi inaugurates women’s cricket tournament in Delhi – India TV Hindi

Meenakshi Lekhi inaugurated the cricket tournament.

The Kalpana Chawla Memorial Women’s Cricket Tournament was inaugurated by Fairway Fairplay Charitable Trust on Tuesday at Siri Fort Sports Complex, Delhi. Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi inaugurated this tournament. Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi also encouraged both the teams by batting. Let us tell you that this is the first such tournament being organized by the Trust.

Know the special things about the tournament

A total of 12 teams are participating in this tournament. A total of 15 matches will be played in the tournament. 40 over matches will be played in the tournament in which red ball and white uniform is being used. Teams participating in the tournament will have the opportunity to compete in three league matches, thereby promoting healthy competition and camaraderie among the participants. The first match was played between Rohtak Road and Noida Wonders in which Kalpana Chawla’s brother Sanjay Chawla tossed the toss.

Daughters must be brought forward – Meenakshi Lekhi

On this occasion, Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi said that if we want to take the country forward, we will have to take daughters forward. The Prime Minister of the country had told about four castes – poor, youth, women and farmers. If women progress then it should be understood that the entire society progresses. Meenakshi Lekhi said that every time women were left behind somewhere among the exploited, deprived and victims. Narendra Modi has done the work of bringing him forward. The biggest example of this is that the Prime Minister had started this fight from Panipat in 2014 by starting the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign and today in 10 years, 1020 daughters have been born against 1000 boys.

The country of 2047 belongs to daughters

Meenakshi Lekhi said that the attention of the people of the country has been drawn towards daughters and work has been done to advance the daughters. Everywhere, work is being done to advance daughters. An effort in that has been made today by Fairway Fairplay Charitable Trust. When the entire society comes together on some issue and stands in favor of daughters, then it should be decided that work has to be done. The country has seen the results of what was started from Panipat in 2014. And this generation is going to see the golden age of developed India in 2047. Meenakshi Lekhi said that if the daughter moves forward then the country will move forward. The country of 2047 belongs to daughters.

Winners will also get prizes

In this cricket tournament, players will also be rewarded by Fairway Fairplay Charitable Trust. A reward of Rs 30,000 has been kept for the winners and Rs 20,000 for the runners-up. Additionally, outstanding performances will be acknowledged at an individual level, with cash awards given to the outstanding players of each match. The tournament will conclude in the grand finale where the best batsman, best bowler and player of the tournament will be honored.
