Ayodhya: 22 January 2024 was a historic day for the entire country when the idol of Ram Lalla was consecrated in the grand temple built in Ayodhya. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had observed a strict fast of 11 days regarding the consecration of life. After the consecration ceremony was over, PM Modi broke his fast and consumed Charanamrit. During this time, RRS chief Mohan Bhagwat was also present in the sanctum sanctorum. On this special occasion of Pran Pratistha, PM Modi prostrated before Ram Lalla and became emotional.
After the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, PM Narendra Modi was made to break his fast by Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj. Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj said that, “…we had to give him honey with a few drops of lemon juice in water…but he asked me separately to give him the ‘Charanamrit’ of Lord Shri Ram. Therefore, We made changes to complete his fast… I felt a mother’s love at that time and I felt as if I was offering it to my son and breaking his fast. Let us tell you that it was Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj who broke the fast of PM Narendra Modi after the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple yesterday.

After breaking his fast with Charanamrit, Prime Minister Modi addressed all the people present there. The PM said that today is not only a day of victory but also of humility. Today is a historic day for the world. PM Modi said, ‘Today I feel with all my heart that the cycle of time is changing and it is a happy coincidence that our generation has been chosen as the architect of a timeless path. PM further said that, thousands of years later, the generation will remember our today’s work of nation building, hence I say that this is the time, the right time.
