Why did Vishnudev Sai become the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh?
Chhattisgarh New CM Vishnu Deo Sai: After the bumper victory of BJP in Chhattisgarh, the name of the new Chief Minister has been announced. Vishnudev Sai has been elected the new Chief Minister of the state. According to political experts, BJP has taken this decision keeping in mind the tribal voters. In fact, keeping in mind the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Congress is busy strengthening the OBC card. In such a situation, it was already decided that BJP could make someone from OBC or tribal community the Chief Minister. In such a situation, if political experts are to be believed, the party has taken this decision keeping in mind the tribal voters in the state.
Tribal face taken care of
Earlier, BJP had made several election announcements to woo tribal voters. In such a situation, it can be clearly said that BJP has chosen Vishnudev Sai as the new Chief Minister of the state as per a well-thought-out strategy. Let us tell you that 34 percent of the population in Chhattisgarh is tribal, who are considered very decisive in forming the government and in every election. Whereas 29 seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribes. It is believed that no party can form a government in Chhattisgarh without tribal voters. At present BJP has won 17 out of 29 reserved seats. Let us tell you that in 2018, Congress had won 27 of these seats. Whereas in the Lok Sabha elections, BJP had won 8 out of 11 seats in the state. Bharatiya Janata Party had won 3 out of these 4 reserved seats.
Good hold in union and organization
Let us tell you that Vishnudev Sai has been the President of State BJP from 2020 to 2022. He has also been an MP and Union Minister of State. Also, he is very close to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and it is believed that he has a good hold on the organization. Besides, he is also considered very close to former CM Raman Singh. Sai is interested in serving Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe people and treating sick people. Let us tell you that on one hand, a tribal woman Draupadi Murmu is sitting on the highest post of the country i.e. the post of President. At the same time, Vishnudev Sai has been made the CM as a tribal face to lead the tribal society in the state, so that it can benefit in the Lok Sabha elections and other upcoming elections.
