Pakistan Test Captain Shan Masood: Australia defeated Pakistan by 8 wickets in the third test match. Pakistan faced a clean sweep in the three-Test series against Australia. Pakistani bowlers and batsmen could not perform in unison in the Test series against Australia. Australia had a target of 130 runs to win in the third Test match, which the team achieved on the basis of excellent innings by David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne. After losing the match, Pakistani captain Shan Mussad has given a big statement.

Shan Masood said this

After losing the third Test match against Australia, Pakistani captain Shan Masood said that the Sydney Test was almost like Melbourne. But we have to see some positive things. We took the lead and put a good score on the board, but then again missed a few chances. If we could have dismissed a player like Mitchell Marsh, the lead could have been 50-60 runs. It’s a bit disappointing after Melbourne. We are facing Australia in their conditions. The Australian team bowled well in the second innings. They were looking for wickets. We made some mistakes, which created an opportunity and they took full advantage of it.

Our thinking was to bowl to the spinner from the very beginning to take wickets. David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne batted attackingly. We were thinking of a target of more than 200. It would have been a different game then. Due to which batsmen do not take so many risks in the beginning. You can’t make a good start with 130 runs. We were left with enough in the end. Australia bowled well in the second innings. It is a lesson to be learned that it is not a two innings game but a four innings game, we are learning it the hard way.

The next match will be against Bangladesh

Pakistani captain Shan Masood said that it is about the team’s target. If you look at our batting line up, only Mohammad Rizwan top scored. But no one has scored more than 200 runs in the series. We took 20 wickets in Melbourne, we bowled them out in Sydney, got a few wickets in Perth as well. We are working as a team. If we can improve small things. We can seize the opportunities that we have been given. We have to convert half-centuries into centuries. Three wicket hall will have to be converted into 5 wicket hall. We have 10 months to play the next Test match. Hopefully we will continue to play cricket in the same manner when we meet as a team to play Bangladesh in August.
