Ranjot Singh was out after scoring six runs. After this, Abhishek Poral could also score only 24 runs. Sudeep Kumar scored 21 runs. Whereas Majumdar played an inning of 14 runs. But Shahbaz Ahmed remained at one end. He batted excellently, although no batsman at the other end was ready to support him. The situation was such that on one side Shahbaz scored a century while on the other side no one could score even a half-century. Shahbaz faced 118 balls and played an inning of 100 runs. He was out in the last over. Bengal has scored 255 runs in the stipulated 50 overs.
Shahbaz Ahmed will play for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024
Shahbaz Ahmed has earlier played for RCB in IPL. He was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 2.4 crore. His base price in the 2022 auction was Rs 30 lakh. Many teams bid on him. But the battle between RCB and Sunrisers Hyderabad went on for a long time, but in the end RCB included him in their fold by paying the highest price. However, after this, RCB has traded him to SRH before the new season. SRH’s Mayank Dagar has now moved to RCB and Shahbaz Ahmed has moved to Sunrisers Hyderabad. After his century, the Hyderabad team must have taken a sigh of relief, but it remains to be seen how he performs in the next season’s IPL for his new team.
