A total of 102 sixes were hit in the 5-match series played between India and England. Out of these, only Indian players have hit 72 sixes. Never before had it happened that a team had hit so many sixes in a mutual Test series. The remaining six have been fielded by the England team.
England and Australia series record broken
Talking about earlier, in the England and Australia series held this year, 74 sixes were hit by both the teams, which was a record, but now it has been destroyed. Whereas in the year 2013-14, 65 sixes were hit in the Australia and England Test series. In the series played between India and South Africa in the year 2019, 65 sixes were hit by the players of both the teams. In the year 2014, in the series played between Pakistan and New Zealand, players of both the teams together succeeded in hitting 59 sixes.
Team India had lost in the first match
Talking about the entire series, Team India had to face defeat by 28 runs in the first test match played in Hyderabad. But after the defeat in the very first match, the Indian team never looked back. Team India won the second match which was played in Visakhapatnam by 106 runs and leveled the series. India took the lead by winning the third match played in Rajkot by 434 runs. India also won the series by winning the fourth match played in Ranchi by 5 wickets. After this, the last match, which was played in Dharamshala, was won by India by an innings and 64 runs. In this way, the Indian team has succeeded in winning the series 4-1.
