BCCI Secretary Jay Shah announced the implementation of the Test Cricket Incentive Scheme in a tweet right after the win of the last Test match against England. In this scheme, additional players will get money from the match fees. Currently, players playing Test cricket for the Indian team get Rs 15 lakh as match fee. Under the new incentive scheme, a player can get a maximum of Rs 60 lakh including match fees. Jay Shah wrote in his tweet that I am very happy to announce the launch of Test Cricket Incentive Scheme for the players of India’s men’s test team. Its goal is to provide economic stability to our players. This scheme will be implemented starting from the 2022-23 season.

Test Cricket Incentive Scheme will work like this

Talking about the Test Cricket Incentive Scheme, according to the information given by BCCI, it has been divided into three parts, in the first part, players who play less than 50 percent of the matches in a season will not get any incentive in addition to the match fee. . In the second part, if the players who play more than 50 percent of the matches in a season are part of the playing 11, then in addition to the match fee, they will get another Rs 30 lakh per match and if they are not a part of the playing 11, then they will get Rs 30 lakh as incentive. He will get an additional Rs 15 lakh per match. In the last category, if a player plays more than 75 percent of test matches in a season, then if he is a part of the playing 11, he will get Rs 45 lakh per match as incentive, while if he is not a part of the playing 11, he will get Rs 22.5 lakh as incentive.
