Before the IPL auction, this team has the most money, know how much money is in the treasury of which team.

IPL Retention: The IPL 2024 auction is to be held in Dubai on December 19. This is the first time that the auction will be held abroad. But even before this, all the 10 IPL teams have submitted the list of players retained and released by them to the IPL Governing Council. In retention, Kolkata Knight Riders team has released maximum 12 players. Whereas Punjab Kings has released the least five players.

Every team’s purse increased by Rs 5 crore

The purse for all the teams for the IPL 2024 auction has been increased from Rs 95 crore to Rs 100 crore. That means the purse of each team has increased by Rs 5 crore. Chennai Super Kings team has released 8 players in IPL retention. There are still 6 places left in the team. CSK is left with Rs 31.4 crore after retention. Mumbai Indians have released 11 players and retained 16 players in IPA retention. Apart from this, Romario Shepherd has been traded to Lucknow Super Giants. Mumbai Indians currently have Rs 15.25 crore left in their purse.

This team has the most money

Royal Challengers Bangalore has the most money left after IPL retention. The team is left with Rs 40.75 crore. RCB has retained 18 players, including Mayank Dagar acquired through trade from Sunrisers Hyderabad. Apart from this, 11 players have been released. Gujarat Titans have the least money. Gujarat Titans have Rs 13.85 crore left.

  4. Chennai Super Kings-31.4 crores
  5. Punjab Kings-29.1 crores

  7. Mumbai Indians-15.25 crores
  8. Rajasthan Royals- 14.5 crores
  9. Lucknow Super Giants-13.9 crores
  10. Gujarat Titans-13.85 crores

There have been 16 seasons in the history of IPL so far, out of which Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians have jointly won the title five times each. Whereas Kolkata Knight Riders team has won the trophy twice. Deccan Chargers, Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans have won the title once each.
