Before the start of IPL, these 6 teams have suffered losses, some players refused to play – India TV Hindi

IPL 2024

IPL 2024 is going to start in a few days. All the teams have also started their training camps. Due to T20 World Cup 2024, this time IPL is going to be special for all the players because T20 World Cup is to be played right after IPL. This is the reason why all the big players from around the world are participating in the tournament. So that they can get a chance to practice properly just before the World Cup.

Meanwhile, there are some players who are not participating in the IPL due to injury or personal reasons. There are some players who may miss some matches this season. Due to those players, till now 6 out of 10 IPL teams have suffered losses. The names of those teams include Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants, Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals. Let us know which players of these six teams will not be able to participate in the IPL this time.

Gujarat Titans

Mohammed Shami – India’s star fast bowler Mohammed Shami will not be seen making his mark in the IPL this year. He got injured during the ODI Cup played in India this year and suffered an ankle injury. Due to which he is out of IPL 2024. Shami got his surgery done in London. Gujarat Titans have not yet announced any replacement in place of Shami.

Matthew Wade – T20 cricket star and Australian wicketkeeper batsman Matthew Wade will also miss the opening matches for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024. Actually, he has decided to play for Tasmania in the Sheffield Shield final which will be played from 21 to 25 March, due to which he will not be able to play in the first match of Titans on 25 March. Apart from this, it is also believed that he may miss the match to be played on March 27 also.

Lucknow Super Giants

Mark Wood – The ECB has denied him permission to play in the IPL due to Wood’s workload management ahead of the T20 World Cup and England’s domestic summer. In his place, West Indies fast bowler Shamar Joseph has been included in the Lucknow Super Giants team.

Rajasthan Royals

Prasidh Krishna – India’s young bowler Prasidh Krishna will miss his second consecutive season in the IPL. He has been on rest since the surgery in February. He was injured during Ranji Trophy. Rajasthan Royals team has not announced his replacement yet.

Kolkata Knight Riders

Jason Roy – England opener Jason Roy has decided to opt out of IPL 2024 due to personal reasons. England’s Phil Salt, who is currently world No. 2 in the ICC T20 rankings, replaced him in the KKR team.

Gus Atkinson – The England fast bowler withdrew from his first IPL season due to his workmanlike management by the ECB. Later the team included Sri Lankan fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera in the squad as a replacement.

Chennai Super Kings

Devon Conway – New Zealand batsman Devon Conway suffered a thumb injury during the T20 series played against Australia. Due to which he has undergone surgery and has been asked to take rest for a long time. In such a situation, he will not be able to play for CSK this season. CSK has not announced his replacement yet.

Delhi Capitals

Harry Brook – The England batsman has withdrawn his name from IPL 2024 as his grandmother passed away in February and he wants to be with his family in mourning. The Capitals have not yet announced his replacement.
