Big announcement before IPL 2025, Rahul Dravid’s partner enters this team – Hindustan News Hub

Before IPL 2025, all the franchises are busy strengthening their team and coaching staff. In such a situation, Rajasthan Royals took a big step and recently appointed Rahul Dravid as their head coach. Now another big name has entered the coaching staff of Rajasthan. This big name is none other than former Indian cricketer and former part of the coaching staff of Team India, Vikram Rathore. Rajasthan has appointed Vikram Rathore as its batting coach. Vikram Rathore has been a part of the Indian team. He participated in 6 Tests and 7 ODIs for India in 1996. Rathore was also a member of the selection committee led by Sandeep Patil in the year 2016.

Dravid praised Rathore

Vikram Rathore was part of Team India’s coaching staff till a few months ago. He was playing the role of Team India’s batting coach. His tenure with then head coach Rahul Dravid ended with Team India winning the T20 World Cup 2024 title in June this year. Now he is set to join Rajasthan in the IPL. Expressing happiness over Rathore’s joining Rajasthan Royals, team head coach Rahul Dravid said that after working closely with Vikram for many years, he can say with full confidence that his technical expertise, calm demeanor and deep understanding of Indian conditions make him a perfect fit for the Royals.

Dravid said that the two of them have built a strong rapport together and he is thrilled to be reunited with him. His ability to nurture young talent and maximize the potential of players will be invaluable and he will aim to further strengthen his squad and build a world-class team at Rajasthan Royals.

Rathore called himself lucky

On joining the team, Vikram Rathore said that it is a privilege to be a part of the Royals family. He is thrilled to work with Rahul again. He is very excited to contribute to the team’s vision and work towards the goal of developing top-class players for the Royals and India. Rathore, who along with Rahul Dravid led Team India to win the T20 World Cup title, will now aim to lead Rajasthan Royals to the IPL title.
