In this event, RCB team has announced its new name. This team, known as Royal Challengers Bangalore for the last 16 years, will now play with a new name.

Actually, the name of Bangalore was changed to Bengaluru in the year 2014, but the RCB team had decided to play with the old name without making any change in its name. But now the RCB team has changed its name to Royal Challengers Bangalore. This decision is the result of a long protest by local supporters who have been pushing for change for a long time.
