In the WPL 2024 auction, Kashvi Gautam was bought by Gujarat Giants team for Rs 2 crore. Whereas his base price was only Rs 10 lakh. She became the most expensive uncapped player. But now due to injury she was out of the second season of WPL. Kashvi has made many records in the women’s circuit. She registered a hat-trick for Chandigarh against Arunachal Pradesh in an ODI match in the women’s domestic U19 tournament. Now the Gujarat Giants team has included Mumbai’s Sayali Sathagare in his place. Sayali will get Rs 10 lakh.
RCB team entered
Smriti Mandhana-led RCB team could not perform well in WPL 2023. In WPL 2023, RCB team won only two out of 8 matches. Now even before WPL 2024, RCB’s Kanika Ahuja was out due to injury. Shraddha Pokharkar has got a chance in her place in the team.
Kanika Ahuja had to pull out of WPL 2024 due to a stress fracture. For this reason, RCB has included Maharashtra’s Shraddha Pokharkar in the team as a replacement for Kanika. Pokharkar has been given the contract at a base price of Rs 10 lakh. Shraddha has performed impressively in domestic cricket. Apart from this, she has been associated with the national team as a net bowler.
