Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, the Indian team had to face a shameful defeat in the first match of the 2-match Test series against South Africa. The first test match played at Centurion ground ended in just 3 days. Team India had to face defeat in this match by an innings and 32 runs. Now the last Test match of the series between the two teams will be played at the Newlands ground in Cape Town from January 3. Before this match, good news has come out for the Indian team, in which all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who did not play in the first test due to being unfit, can be seen returning in this match.
Ravindra Jadeja started practice
Ravindra Jadeja could not play in the Centurion Test due to back pain, due to which Ravichandran Ashwin was included in his place in the playing 11. Ashwin was not able to make any significant contribution in this match with both ball and bat. According to PTI news, Ravindra Jadeja has started practicing before the Cape Town Test match, in which he looked quite comfortable during the warm-up. Practiced bowling with Mukesh Kumar on the practice wicket for about 20 minutes at lunch time on the third day of the Centurion Test. Jadeja may not prove to be that dangerous with the ball in South African conditions, but he definitely provides a better option as a batsman in the lower order, in which he has played important innings at important times on foreign tours in the last few years.
Jadeja can be included in place of Ashwin
If Ravindra Jadeja returns to the playing 11 in the Cape Town Test, he can be included in place of Ravichandran Ashwin. Till now, Jadeja has played only one match in South Africa in which, while he managed to take 6 wickets with the ball, he was able to score only 8 runs with the bat. Jadeja has so far taken 42 wickets in Tests against the African team.
