After winning the match against South Africa, captain Uday Saharan said that it is a great feeling to reach the final. We got the experience of close competition and it will be good in the final. We do not let the morale in the dressing room go down at all. Our environment and coaches are excellent. Saharan, who was chosen man of the match, said that he was not under pressure at any time. Yes, at one time we were far behind. But we kept saying that we have to bat till the end. It was a matter of partnership. When I came to bat, the ball was moving a little and there was good bounce. But later the ball started coming on the bat better.
African bowlers could not break the partnership
South African captain Euan James said that when they were batting, we had taken four wickets, then Uday and Sachin batted really well. This (breaking partnerships) is something we struggled with throughout the tournament but never gave up.
These two players led to victory
Team India was once in a very difficult situation while chasing the target against South Africa. The Indian team had lost four wickets for 32 runs, but after this captain Uday Saharan and Sachin Dhas played explosive innings. Both of them made a partnership of 171 runs for the fifth wicket. Which is the biggest partnership for the fifth wicket in the Under-19 World Cup. Saharan played an inning of 81 runs and Sachin played an inning of 96 runs.
