Pakistan cricket team is currently on a tour of Australia, where it has come to play a three-match Test series. They have faced defeat in the first 2 matches of this series. On the fourth day of the second match of the series played in Melbourne, host Australia defeated Pakistan by 79 runs. At one time in this match, Pakistan team was looking in a much better position while chasing the target, but due to the fall of the wicket of Mohammad Rizwan, it did not take much time for the second innings of the Pakistan team to end. Meanwhile, Pakistan team director and head coach Mohammad Hafeez expressed his displeasure over the third umpire’s decision to give Rizwan out after the match, calling it a wrong decision. Now Pakistan Cricket Board has also decided to take a big step on this.

PCB will knock on ICC’s door

In the Melbourne Test match, when Mohammad Rizwan was trying to lead his team to victory, at the same time an appeal for ‘caught behind’ was made against him on a ball from Australian captain Pat Cummins, which was rejected by the on-field umpire. The Australian team decided to take DRS on this, after which the third umpire gave out Rizwan. While returning to the pavilion, Rizwan was also seen expressing his displeasure over this decision. Now according to the news of PTI, a PCB source has said in his statement on this entire matter that Zaka Ashraf has talked to team director Mohammad Hafeez on this, who has given a statement regarding umpiring and technology after the Melbourne Test. Now PCB has decided to raise this entire issue with the ICC.

Hafeez had expressed his displeasure on the decisions of the umpires

Pakistan team director Mohammad Hafeez had said in his statement after the Melbourne Test that if you look at the entire match, a lot of bad decisions were taken by the umpires. I am not against technology in sports, but if there is any doubt in it then I will never accept its decision. We always play these games on basic things, but sometimes there are some decisions of technology which we humans cannot understand. When the ball hits the wicket, out should be given, then why is the umpire’s call called?
