When Jurel completed his fifty, he expressed his happiness by saluting. The reason behind his style of celebration is Jurel’s father, who was in the Indian Army and retired as a Havildar. Dhruv Jurel’s father’s name is Nam Singh who was also a part of Kargil War. Jurel also hit 6 fours and 4 sixes in his innings of 90 runs.
Important partnership of 76 runs with Kuldeep
When the Indian team had lost its 7 wickets till the score of 177 in this test match during the second day’s play, from there Dhruv Jurel got the support of Kuldeep Yadav, in which there was a partnership of 76 runs between the two for the 8th wicket. Due to which Team India was successful in making a comeback in this match. After this, Jurel also made a partnership of 40 runs with Akash Deep for the 9th wicket and took the score beyond 300 in the first innings. Apart from Jurel, the Indian team got a half-century in this innings from the bat of Yashasvi Jaiswal.
