While playing for Gujarat, he took 3 wickets for 30 runs in 10 overs against Arunachal Pradesh. He also bowled an over maiden. With this he was successful in completing 1000 wickets in his cricket career. Piyush is known for his excellent bowling and playing his spin is not easy for any batsman. Piyush Chawla has taken 445 wickets in his first class career, 302 wickets in T20 cricket and 254 wickets in List-A cricket. In this way, 1001 wickets have now been registered in his name. Piyush Chawla has played cricket for India in all three formats. He made his Test debut for India in 2006. But he has not got a chance in Team India for the last 12 years. He has played 2 Tests, 25 ODIs and 7 T20 matches for India.
