Sometimes such scenes are seen on the cricket field, which surprise everyone. Something similar was seen in the current season of Big Bash League when fast bowler Haris Rauf, playing for Melbourne Stars team, came on the field to bat without wearing pads, gloves and helmet. Actually, after 19 overs of Melbourne Stars’ innings were completed, Haris Rauf was preparing himself for bowling, but in the last over, his team lost four wickets in four consecutive balls. Due to this, Rauf did not get any time to prepare himself for batting and he went straight to the field to bat with the bat.

Even Sydney players were surprised when Rauf arrived with gloves and bat in his hand.

The 12th match of this season of the Big Bash League was being played between Melbourne Stars and Sydney Thunders at Lewington Sports Oval. Batting first in this match, Melbourne had scored 170 runs till the 19th over. After this, only 2 runs came in the first two balls of the last over. Whereas Melbourne lost three consecutive wickets in the next three balls. Haris suddenly had to come out to bat on the last ball, which no one had expected. In such a situation, Rauf had to reach the field within the stipulated time, however, being at the non-strike end, he reached the field directly with only bat and gloves. After this, Melbourne lost the wicket on the last ball also and were limited to 172 runs in 20 overs. When Haris came on the field to bat like this, even the Sydney Thunders players were surprised to see him.

Sydney won by 5 wickets
