Now Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken a big decision regarding Haris Rauf, in which his central contract has been terminated. Due to this, there is now a situation of confusion regarding Rauf’s cricket career.
Will not be allowed to play in foreign leagues till June
Along with terminating the central contract of Haris Rauf, the PCB has also banned issuing NOC to him for permission to play in foreign leagues till June 30, 2024. While the PCB committee, after hearing the case of Haris, terminated his central contract with effect from December 1, 2023, the board had also given Haris an opportunity to present his side, but after his response was not as expected, the PCB Has taken a big decision. In the official statement issued by PCB regarding Haris Rauf, he said that playing for Pakistan is the highest honor and privilege for any player. Refusing to be part of Pakistan’s Test team in the absence of any medical report or valid reason is a material breach of the central contract.
The chief selector had also expressed objection to Haris’ decision.
When Haris Rauf withdrew his name from the Australia tour after being selected in the team, then the current chief selector of Pakistan cricket team, Wahab Riaz, had also raised objection about his decision and said that when some key players of the team After being unfit, as a player, you should come forward yourself in such a situation and always be ready to play for Pakistan and that too when you are a player included in the central contract.
