Team India had to face defeat in the second match of the three-match T20 series between India and England women’s team. The Indian women’s team performed very poorly in this match. Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur on Saturday blamed the batsmen for their four-wicket defeat at the hands of England in the second Women’s T20 International, saying here on Saturday that her batsmen could not anticipate the ball correctly. Batting first after losing the toss, the Indian team was reduced to 80 runs. By winning this match, England took an unassailable lead in the three-match series.
Harmanpreet said after the match that we always want to play with a positive attitude but unfortunately some of our batsmen could not guess the ball correctly. Apart from this, England bowled very well and they did not let us play freely. He said that if we had scored 30-40 more runs, it would have made a big difference but I am proud of my team. We did not give up till the end.
What did the England captain say?
The third and final match between the two teams will be played on Sunday. Where England captain Heather Knight said that her team will try to make a clean sweep. Team India would like to win its first match in the series. He said that it was not easy for our openers to score runs and Renuka Singh bowled really well. Our aim was to score as many runs as possible in the power play and not lose wickets. We have to play a Test match after this and before that we want to win this series 3-0.
