Hanuman Vihari: Hanuma Vihari had left the captaincy of the Andhra Pradesh team after the first match of the current season of Ranji Trophy. Now Andhra Pradesh team had to face defeat by four runs against Madhya Pradesh in the quarter finals. With this, Andhra Pradesh team is out of Ranji Trophy 2024 season. After this Hanuma Vihari has given a big statement to leave the captaincy. He has also announced that he will never play for Andhra Pradesh team again.
Hanuma Vihari made serious allegations
Hanuma Vihari wrote on Instagram that the sad thing is that the union believes that whatever they say, the players will have to listen to it and the players are there because of them. I have decided that I will never play for Andhra where I have lost my self-respect. I love the team. I like the way we were progressing every season but the union doesn’t want us to progress.
I was the captain in the first match against Bengal. During that match I shouted at the 17th player and he complained to his father (who is a politician). In return his father asked the Sangh to take action against me. We chased 410 runs against Bengal, who made it to the final last year, but through no fault of mine I was asked to resign from the captaincy.
‘Didn’t say anything personally’
Hanuma Bihari said that I never said anything to the player personally but the association thought that the player is more important than the person who put his body at stake last year. I felt embarrassed but the only reason I continued playing this season was because I respect the game and my team.
Prudhvi Raj said this
The player in question in this case is KN Prudhvi Raj and he took to Instagram to accuse Vihari of making false claims. Raj wrote in his Instagram story that Hello everyone! I am the same guy you guys are looking for in the comment box. Whatever you guys heard is absolutely false, nothing is better than sports and my self respect is much bigger than anything. Personal attacks and foul language are not acceptable on any kind of human platform. Everyone in the team knows what happened that day.
Its Hanuma Vihari shared a copy of a statement on his social media account, which had signatures of other players of the Andhra Pradesh team. In this he has written that the entire team knows. The copy shared by Vihari on social media. It was written in it that the entire team wants him to remain the captain of the Andhra Pradesh team.
