During the final match, when Multan Sultans team had lost 9 wickets till the score of 127 in 17 overs, Imad was sitting in the dressing room. Meanwhile, when the camera moved towards him, he was clearly seen smoking. If we talk about Imad’s performance in this match, he took 5 wickets while giving only 23 runs in his 4 overs in the first bowling, which is the best performance of his PSL career so far. While chasing the target, Imad returned after playing an unbeaten inning of 19 runs in 17 balls and giving the team victory on the last ball. Imad was also given the title of Player of the Match for his excellent performance in the final match.
Announced retirement last year
Imad Wasim surprised everyone by suddenly announcing his retirement from international cricket in November 2023. Imad was not a part of the Pakistan team for a long time. He has played 55 ODI and 66 T20 matches for Pakistan cricket team. During this period, in ODIs he has scored 986 runs at an average of 42.87 and has also taken 44 wickets. Apart from this, in T20, Imad has scored 486 runs and taken 65 wickets in his name. Imad has 5 half-century innings in his name in ODI and one in T20.
