IND vs AFG: 3 records can be made in today’s match

India vs Afghanistan 3rd T20I : Today is the third and last match of the T20 series between India and Afghanistan. The match is to be played at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. For this, both are busy in their respective preparations. Although the Indian team has already captured the series, but in the third match also, Rohit Sharma and Team India would like to leave no stone unturned. This is the last T20 International match of the Indian team before the T20 World Cup 2024 to be held in June. Although there are many records to be made in today’s match, there are 3 records which can be made easily.

Akshar Patel close to completing his 50 T20 International wickets

Let us first talk about India’s star spinner Akshar Patel. Akshar Patel has so far taken 49 wickets for India in T20 International. He needs just one more wicket to complete his 50 wickets. If he takes one more wicket, he will become the ninth bowler for India to take 50 wickets or more in this format. Well, if we talk about taking the most wickets for India in this format, then this record is in the name of Yuzvendra Chahal, who has taken 96 wickets so far, but he has not been given a chance for some time.

Mohammad Nabi can also make a record

After this, if we talk about Afghanistan, then the former captain of the team Mohammad Nabi is standing very close to his 2000 runs in T20 International. He has scored 1933 runs so far. Now if he scores 67 more runs in this match, he will become the second batsman of Afghanistan to score 2000 runs. Before this, only Mohammad Shahzad has scored 2000 runs in T20 International for Afghanistan, who has 2048 runs in his name. However, scoring 67 runs is not going to be easy for Mohammad Nabi against the Indian attack. After this, if we talk about the third record, then Mohammad Nabi has so far hit 98 sixes in this format. Whereas Najibullah Zadran has 95 sixes registered in his name. Nabi would need 2 sixes and Zadran would need five sixes to complete his 100 sixes. Although this is not a record, but it can be seen as a personal milestone for the players.

Such has been the record of Team India in Bengaluru

Talking about Bangalore’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium, the Indian team has played 7 T20 International matches here so far. Out of these, it has won three and lost three. There was no result of one match. This will be the first time for Afghanistan to play at this stadium. Although Afghanistan’s performance has not been very special in this series, but this team is often known to surprise. It remains to be seen how the team performs today.
