This player will take a big decision to play in IND vs AUS test series

IND vs AUS Border-Gavaskar Trophy: Border Gavaskar Trophy will be played between India and Australia in December. Team India will go to Australia for a 5 test match series. Before this series, the Australian team will tour England in September for a series of five ODIs and three T20 matches. After this, Pakistan will play three ODIs and as many T20 matches. An Australian player can avoid the Pakistan tour to play in the Border Gavaskar Trophy.

This player will stay away from Pakistan tour

Australia head coach Andrew McDonald has said that star all-rounder Cameron Green may miss the limited overs series against Pakistan in preparation for the home Test series against India in December. Instead of playing against Pakistan, Green can play in Australia’s domestic first-class competition Sheffield Shield. The same strategy was adopted before the current Test series against New Zealand and Green proved it right by playing an unbeaten inning of 174 runs in the first Test match. Australia had registered a big victory in this match. Green was not included in the squad for the T20 series against West Indies and New Zealand. Instead, he played a Sheffield Shield match for Western Australia against Tasmania in which he prepared well for the first Test match against New Zealand by scoring an unbeaten 103 runs.

Head coach of Australia team gave a big statement

Andrew McDonald said that keeping any player out of international cricket is a big decision, that too when he is capable of being included in your best playing 11. So I am happy that Green accepted our suggestion and made a great comeback after that. Our focus is on preparations ahead of the Test series against India next summer where we have to play ODI and T20 matches against Pakistan. We all know what a good limited overs player he is but you have to decide your priorities looking at the situation next summer.

The Australian coach further said that limited overs cricket is important but the Test series is also equally important so I think given the result he got in the first Test match (against New Zealand), he will probably come to us and say Whether I can play some Sheffield Shield matches before the Test series against India.
