We don’t want to put pressure on ourselves by setting goals
After the third day of the Hyderabad Test match, Indian team’s bowling coach Paras Mhambrey said in his statement that we are not putting any pressure on ourselves by setting any target. We just want to bowl in the right areas to get turn and bounce from the wicket. If you look at the games of the first session in the last few days, I think batting is a little easier in the second innings. I think it’s going to be a little better. The pitch will provide turn to the bowlers but it is not the kind of turn you usually see in the Indian subcontinent. In the subcontinent, as the game progresses, the ball rotates faster but that is not the case here. It’s not that challenging. Whereas Mhambrey praised Bumrah for his bowling and said that Bumrah was bowling very well and was swinging the ball both ways. He has this amazing ability. He is a special bowler and we have seen what he can do in overseas conditions.
Root praised Bumrah
In the third day’s play, Jasprit Bumrah took 2 wickets for England very quickly at a crucial juncture, one of which was the wicket of Ben Dukett and the other of their most experienced player Joe Root. Regarding his bowling, Root said after the end of the day’s play that this is what you expect from a Test match. That was a big moment in the match.
