However, the Indian team made a strong comeback in the second match and leveled the series at 1-1. Meanwhile, news came that Virat Kohli can join Team India’s squad from the third test match.

What did McCullum say on Virat Kohli?

McCullum expressed respect for Kohli’s ability and competitiveness and talked about the challenge his arrival would pose to the English team. He said, “We hope everything is fine with his family. If Virat is coming back, we are looking forward to that challenge as well. He is a great competitor. I know him very well and I have enjoyed playing against them, I have enjoyed playing against our team and if you get success against the best, I am sure you have earned it.

Rahul Dravid had said this

Earlier on Monday, India head coach Rahul Dravid had provided an update about Virat Kohli’s possible return to the team for the remaining three Test matches against England, saying, it would be best to ask the selectors. He had said that “I think it is best to ask the selectors about Virat. I am sure they are the best people to give answers before the team selection for the next three Tests. We will get to that. I am sure. That the selection will be done in the next few days. We will contact Virat and find out.
