IND vs ENG, Rohit Sharma: A five-match Test series is being played between India and England. In the first match of this series, Team India had to face defeat by 28 runs. With the defeat of the Indian team, Rohit Sharma’s captaincy has also come under question. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, Team India has not been able to win the last three Test matches at home. Earlier, India had played a Test series against Australia at home. Team India could not win even in the last two matches of that series. He had to face defeat in one match, while another match ended in a draw.

Questions raised on Rohit’s captaincy

Rohit Sharma took many wrong decisions against England, due to which the England team easily gained a big lead. One of Rohit’s teammates has also raised questions on this. This player is none other than Dinesh Karthik. Cartin did not look happy with Rohit Sharma’s defensive attitude on the fourth day of the first Test match against England. Actually, the English team started the fourth day with a lead of 126 runs, while they had only 4 wickets left. But due to defensive approach they achieved a lead of 230 runs in the fourth innings.

What did Kartik say?

Karthik said that India were very defensive from their side from the beginning of the day and although being defensive in their strategy against Pope made sense. But he said that there should have been aggressive fielders to put pressure on the bowling of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja against batsmen like Tom Hartley. Karthik said on GeoCinema that India has been very defensive. I can understand being defensive against Pope, but for Tom Hartley, Jadeja and Ashwin should get aggressive fielders.”

The team’s batsmen disappointed

In the match played against England, Pope played an inning of 196 runs, due to which England’s second innings ended at 420 runs on the fourth day on Sunday, in this match India needed 231 runs to win. No batsman of Team India could score even 40 runs during this run chase and Team India was all out for 202 runs.
