IND vs ENG Test Series: A five-match Test series is to be played between India and England. The first match of this series will be played on 25 January. BCCI announced Team India’s squad for this series on Friday. A total of 16 players have been included in the team. However, Team India has been announced only for the first two matches of the series. Considering the World Test Championship, this series is very important for both the teams. In such a situation, the Indian team and captain Rohit Sharma would not want to make any mistakes during this series.

This player may get a chance in playing 11

A total of three wicketkeeper batsmen have been included in Team India’s squad for the Test series against England. Where there is one player who was dropped from the team, but due to Ishan Kishan being out of Team India’s squad, this player was given a chance again. After Ishan Kishan was out during the Test series in South Africa, this player got a chance to make a comeback in the team, but this player has not been able to make a place in the playing 11 yet. We are talking about KS Bharat. Now KS Bharat can once again be a part of the playing 11 against England.

What will be the role of KL Rahul?

According to the reports of Indian Express before the Test series, KL Rahul will not be the first choice as the wicketkeeper of the Indian team. Instead, KS Bharat will be part of the playing 11 as the wicketkeeper and Rahul will be present on the field as a batsman and fielder. The reason for this is that the Indian team will once again prepare a turner for the visiting England team for the five-match Test series at home.

The team management has made it clear to the selection committee that Rahul was asked to keep wickets in South Africa due to the bounce in the pitch. During the two-Test series against South Africa, fast bowlers came into play and the ball remained above waist height most of the time. There is expected to be a spin track during the test match played in India. Due to which the Indian team has informed BCCI and the selection committee that Rahul will not do wicketkeeping.

The match will be played on spin track

A BCCI source has informed that Team India will play the match against England on a spin pitch. Four best spin bowlers have been selected in the Indian team for this series. For which the team will need a good and experienced wicketkeeper. In such a situation, in place of KL, some other experienced wicketkeeper will be included in the playing 11. The most experienced wicketkeeper in the team at present is KS Bharat. This is why he will be given a chance in the playing 11.
